Privacy Policy
LibreGuard VPN is designed to keep personal data collection limited to what the service needs to operate. This policy explains what we do not log or store and what operational data we do process.
1. Account and support information
We process the account and authentication details needed to create an account, sign users in, provide support, handle billing, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability. Pro accounts do not require an email address at signup, but users must protect their generated credentials and recovery code.
2. VPN usage information
LibreGuard does not log or store user IP addresses, browser history, or the contents of browser traffic. VPN traffic is routed through LibreGuard servers while a connection is active, but it is not recorded as browsing history or traffic content.
We process aggregate byte totals for plan limits and billing-cycle accounting, along with temporary session and connection state needed to establish, maintain, and troubleshoot VPN access.
3. DNS
DNS requests travel through the VPN connection. LibreGuard does not log or store DNS requests or DNS query names. Pro users can optionally enable DNS-based ad blocking and filtering through DNS-policy settings.
4. Device limits and security operations
We store a hashed form of a unique device identifier for device-limit and security operations. We may also process timestamps and operational records needed to issue, revoke, and troubleshoot access credentials.
5. Payments and third parties
Depending on the purchase route, payments may involve Creem card checkout, Monero payment verification, or Google Play billing. These providers process payment information under their own terms. We do not sell personal data.
Other operational records include plan and subscription status, support correspondence, aggregate usage, temporary connection state, and DNS-policy settings. These records describe the account and the service; they do not include user IP addresses, DNS requests, browsing history, or browser traffic contents.
6. Retention
You can request deletion of your account data by contacting support@libreguard.net. We review and process deletion requests for eligible account data.
7. Your choices
You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information we control, subject to legal, security, accounting, and operational requirements. Paid Pro users may choose the private-account flow without an email address.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect the service and the information associated with it. See the Security page for product-level details.
